The Smart-U range of products extends Universal Serial Bus (USB) via a single Category 5 Unscreened Twisted Pair (UTP) cable. Using a unique method of transparent data transfer, the system allows a USB peripheral to be located up to 275ft from the CPU. Fully compliant with the USB specification, the extender will provide a transparent path for both 1.5 and 12 Mbps data rates.
